Silicon, germanium and gallium arsenide - their properties, purification and crystal growth and processing for device fabrication, superlattices and multilayer structures, II-VI semiconductors, optoelectronic materials - phosphors, liquid crystals, magnetic oxides-ferrites, garnets and recording materials, ferroelectric and piezoelectric materials, variators and thermistors, superconducting materials, Josephson junction and SQUID.
